What your galactic signature means

Your galactic signature is the kin of the day you were born. In the Dreamspell count of the 13 Moon calendar, every day carries one of 260 kin, and each kin weaves together two things: a galactic tone, one of thirteen numbers of creation, and a solar seal, one of twenty archetypes such as the Red Dragon, the White Wind or the Yellow Human.

Read it like a name. In Yellow Lunar Human, Kin 132, “Yellow” is the color of the seal, “Lunar” is the tone (tone 2, the tone of challenge), and “Human” is the seal (the power of free will). The tone tells you how your energy moves; the seal tells you what it carries.

Kin number
Your place in the 260-day Tzolkin, from Kin 1 (Red Magnetic Dragon) to Kin 260 (Yellow Cosmic Sun).
Galactic tone
One of 13 tones, from Magnetic (1) to Cosmic (13). Each asks a question, such as “What is my purpose?” or “How can I best serve?”
Solar seal
One of 20 seals, each with a power, an action and an essence. The Red Dragon nurtures being; the Yellow Sun enlightens life.
Color
Red initiates, white refines, blue transforms, yellow ripens. Your color places you in one of four color families.
Wavespell
The 13-day wave of creation your kin belongs to, named for the seal on its first day. Your tone is your day in that wave.
Galactic activation portal
52 of the 260 kin are portal days, forming the Loom of Maya on the Tzolkin. Being born on one is considered a doorway of heightened energy.
13 Moon birthday
Your birthday in the 13 Moon calendar: which of the 13 moons you were born in, the day of that moon, and its plasma.

Genevieve's own signature is Yellow Lunar Human, Kin 132. The Lunar tone polarizes and stabilizes: its question is “What is my challenge?” The Yellow Human influences through free will, and its essence is wisdom. Kin 132 sits on day 2 of the White Wizard wavespell. How the count works

This calculator uses the Dreamspell count of the 13 Moon calendar, as given by José and Lloydine Argüelles and the Law of Time. The 260 kin repeat without a break, so your kin returns every 260 days: your galactic birthday.

February 29 is left out of the count. It is called 0.0 Hunab Ku, a day with no kin, so the day after it continues where February 28 left off. That keeps the 13 Moon calendar in step with the solar year, which always begins on July 26.

The Dreamspell count is a modern synchronization tool. It does not match the traditional day count still kept by K'iche' Maya daykeepers in Guatemala, so if you have looked up your “Mayan sign” elsewhere and found a different answer, both may be right on their own terms.

Is a galactic signature the same as a Mayan sign?

Not exactly. The galactic signature comes from the Dreamspell, a modern system inspired by the Maya Tzolkin. Its count differs from the traditional K'iche' Maya day count, so the two can give different signs for the same birthday.

What if I was born on February 29?

February 29 is 0.0 Hunab Ku in the 13 Moon calendar, a day outside the count with no kin. A reading can explore how your signature lives between the days on either side.

Does my time of birth change my kin?

No. Your kin depends only on the date you were born. Birth time matters for astrology and Human Design, not for your galactic signature.

How often does my kin come around again?

Every 260 days. That day is your galactic return, a good day to set intentions and work with the energy of your own signature.
